SNEAKY SOUND SYSTEM
From hippie roots to dance domination MC Double D gives Cam Edwards a spray
No wonder hard partying South African born MC DOUBLE D has a problem with 20/20 Cricket………They lost!!! Still doesn’t stop them flying the flag and doing a good job of it I might add.
Sneaky Sound System have come a long way in a short time and within two albums have come to represent our fine shores in grand party stature. They seem to be taking it all in their stride as popularity continues to grow both here and overseas. Early reports from the recent Big Day Out stage on the Gold Coast sees them really enjoying the experience of the latest album.
As other cities swelter and the far north drowns I warn that they might not be so lucky for other festivals. “Yeah we know what it’s like to play in worse conditions but the B.D.O is very very good and playing our latest stuff is really enjoyable. I can speak for us all, it really gives us a buzz to show our new material and the crowd seems to go off, so every gig we do, I just fuckin love it.”
Before heading back to the UK, Scotland then New York and Miami the show will roll into Far North Queensland and they sound really keen to put on a good one.
“I’ve recently seen some flooding you guys have had up there and having lived in the area previously I promise to make it a bit of a home coming, the sets good it has a hell of a lot of old stuff and a hell of a lot of new stuff so yeah hopefully you guys enjoy it and we can all put our hands in the air and jump up and down.”
