Dubmarine are set to breach the surface of collective consciousness. On the wash of a cult following established amongst Brisbane’s thriving reggae, dub and dancehall scene, the Dub Sub combines reggae, hip hop, dub, DNB and dancehall, packing a punch which fills dance floors and leave no ground unstamped.
Currently the crew have battened down hatches and are recording a brand new LP to follow the greatly successful debut EP Dub From The Deep with Brisbane Dub technician Drew-ID
Dubmarine have packing venues right along the eastern seaboard, as well as playing alongside the cream of the Aussie and New Zealand scenes. Support slots include The Black Seeds (NZ), The Red Eyes, The Toothfaeries, The Cornerstone Roots (NZ), and Sydney skankers Kingtide. The lads have enthralled audiences with performances at Woodford Folk Festival, Island Time Festival, The Speigletent, Valley Fieta and Reggaetown. 2009 will also see Dubmarine perform at The Dreaming Festival, Kuranda Roots and the Brisbane Festival, whilst embarking on tours reaching the breadth of the steamin’ East-Coast.
Dubmarine’s debut offering Dub From the Deep, released September 2007, showcases some of the bombast Dubmarine are renown for, brandishing their renowned deep groove, fluid vocals, and potent musical spices which found their way onto the airwaves receiving regular spins Triple J, PBS, 3RRR, FBI, 4ZZZ and SYN FM
At the helm of the Dubmarine trust sits indigenous vocal gymnast and ragga-superstar D-Kaz Man. A true lyrical poet, Kaz weaves a spell amongst the barrage of power supplied by the twin percussive force of Matt Burgess (Drums) and Paul Donehue (Percussion). Contributing to the groove is dub distiller guitarist Jeremie Nagabbo, Trombone controllers Ange Gadd and Mikael Strand, whilst bottomless bass technician Paul Watson keeps the throttle pressed with his deep sub frequencies.
Enlist with the Dubmarine sub-machine as they stretch the musical spectrum and transport you to the depths of their dub driven groove.
